Read part 1 and part 2.

Q: Why did people want to kill Jesus?

A: People want to kill Jesus for a lot of reasons. One of them was that He was claiming to be God Himself. If you look in John chapter 8, they pick up stones to stone Him because He's saying, “before Abraham was, I am” which is essentially saying, before this dude before me, I was always around. Giving claim of being divine, which He was and that was blasphemous if it wasn’t true. Jesus was also causing an uproar because He was combating the religious leaders at the time, the Pharisees and Sadducee's. He was opposing their self-righteousness and bringing in a new order into the Kingdom of God. And that was very disruptive to the religious order at the time.

Q: Is there evidence for Resurrection?

A: The Bible is not just a storybook, it’s a historical book. In 1 Corinthians 15:6, it talks about that after Jesus resurrected from the dead, He came and spoke to over 500 people. People who were alive and saw Him alive and well. His 12 disciples saw Him alive and well, had conversations with Him. They go on and all the disciples get murdered for their belief in Jesus. So, for me, if Jesus hadn't really risen from the dead and this whole story was fake and wasn't real in the first place. I don't know if I would have gone to death for a fairy tale. If they were getting ready to execute me and they were like, “Just deny Jesus” I would probably back out and be like listen, it was all a hoax, and this isn't real. But these people really died for their faith because they really saw Jesus resurrected, alive and well.
