And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31

  During this uncertain time, we want to Rise Up in our community and be a light in the darkness! But, how do we do that practically? Well, here are a few ideas

• Donate to ministries who are helping during the pandemic
• Safely volunteer at places like the Houston Food Bank or other agencies who are serving & asking for help
• Call your neighbor and ask if they need anything
• Check on the lonely and vulnerable
• Provide meals to any healthcare workers you know
• Help flatten the curve by following the Stay at Home order
• Share positive and encouraging news with your community
• Support a local restaurant by delivery or pick-up
• Foster a homeless pet
• If you're healthy enough, give blood
• Make homemade masks for friends and family
• Be sure your grandparents have groceries

We are called to love God & to love our neighbor. So, let's do just that. Together, we can rise up.
