Matthew 20:26-28
But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Calling all NGEN! Here’s your chance to follow Jesus’ example by showing love in action. Matthew 20 says that Jesus came to Earth not to be served but to SERVE. Join the NGEN family as we come alongside organizations to help impact the community and shine the light of Jesus all over H-Town. Whether its volunteering at the Houston Food Bank, lending a hand at Be A Resource (BEAR), or spreading some love through Hip Hop Hope, we’re on a mission to serve like Jesus so that He can Shift the Culture!

BE A Resource for CPS Kids is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that provides hope and help for abused and neglected children and the caseworkers who protect them within Harris County and the 12 surrounding counties.
We āCONNECT with individuals and families living in areas that are typically low income, high crime, and under-served. We do this with outreach events such as our weekly Hip Hop Hope, In-school assemblies, and In-school mentoring. This helps to ābreak the iceā and gives us an opportunity to introduce ourselves to the community.
Houston Food Bankās mission is to provide food for better lives.Ā Volunteers produce the equivalent of a meal a minute while helping the Houston Food Bank sort, process and pack food. And itās fun!
Since 2017, Houston Responds has been facilitating local church collaboration across Greater Houston to expedite long-term recovery, respond to community crises, and prepare for future disasters.
The Landing walks alongside survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation as they take steps toward safety, healing, and freedom. By welcoming survivors into our drop-in center, providing them with an advocate, or reaching out to them on Bissonnet, our intention is to meet people where they areāwherever it may beāand support them throughout their journey.
Spread Godās love and serve others through volunteering with NGEN! Being an NGEN volunteer not only allows you to make a difference in the lives of others, but also your own. Itās your opportunity to build new relationships, strengthen your community and spread hope to others. Whether you choose to pray for others as part of the NGEN Prayer Team, greet attendees at an NGEN concert, or work a booth with the NGEN Street Team, you are helping to make a difference and bless others in a way that can last for all time.
