New music on NGEN this week features an artist you know very well and a few you may or may not, but they are holding their own. Each song is really a celebration of running to God and how He turns lives around.
Roy Tosh x Kurtis Hoppie - Moonlight
Roy Tosh and Kurtis Hoppie team up for this vibe that gets us dancing. But in this track they talk about how before they met Christ they wasted their time “dancing in the moonlight”. But God! Jesus came in and changed their lives, giving them a new found freedom and purpose they never knew before!
Check out these lyrics in the second verse:
Through the highs and lows Whole lotta paths, which way to go, go Everybody welcome to the show Gotta a whole lotta wounds that nobody knows, no Lost, no where to begin Heard about Someone who’d forgive my sins, yea Wanna turn it around So could you break these chains I wanna start again
George.Rose - L.A.G.
For the title of this song George.Rose decided to go with an acronym which stands for Look At God. This song is really a celebration of how God changed things for this artist and turned him from a life of addiction.

Lecrae - Can You Hear Me Now?
Off his latest album Church Clothes 4: Dry Clean Only, Lecrae brings this track crying out for help when slippin'. A pinned tweet (or X?) from Lecrae answers the question, Can You Hear Me Now?
Keep talking to God. He never stops listening.

These lyrics go deep. Did you catch it?
Yeah, yeah, I been afflicted, connection restricted
I know I should wake up and dig in the scriptures
I'm scrollin' through pictures, I'm meant to get with Ya
But after some minutes I guess I forgot
I know time is precious, I know life get hectic
I make bad decisions and then I regret it
I know I should listen, take heed to the message
Too focused on money and check out my stocks
Already fell for the trap (Trap)
Dance with the devil when it fell in my lap (Yeah)
Brand new house with a cell in the back
I'm in solitary tryna sneak a cell through the back
Fans looking at me, they can tell if I'm back
They can tell if I'm going off the rails when I rap
I been running so long, I excel on the track
Choking me, that's why I exhale when I rap
You can join the music team and give us your thoughts on the music you hear on NGEN.
Larry loves God (of course)! He is from Houston, Texas and has also done some traveling. Larry lived in Costa Rica and Ecuador for a few years, learned some Spanish and ate some things that would make most people in the U.S. cringe. As a husband and father he knows the best decisions he makes end with "yes, dear." Just kidding ... not kidding. Larry is also NGEN's Assistant Program Director and loves knowing you love the music on NGEN. And if you don't like certain songs he wants to know that too. Just be nice, ok?
