In these 2 weeks leading up to Easter, we’re thinking about Jesus. What do we believe about Him? What do YOU believe?
In the Bible, in Matthew 28:6 we read “He isn't here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.”
Jesus is ALIVE! And it’s amazing to think about who Jesus is. The Bible says this about Him:
Though he was God,
he did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to.
Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,
he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
I personally think it’s important to ask questions and search for answers. The Bible, God’s word, is truth. When we’re trying to figure things out, if that foundation of truth is not solid, we might crumble in our search for answers.
Look to Jesus. Read the Bible. Take these two weeks leading to Easter and decide to get closer to God. It could be for the first time in your life. Or you might be coming back to Him. He loves you and can’t wait to have a relationship with You. He won’t force it. He stands at the door and knocks. He’s just waiting for you to make the next move.
When we get to know Who Jesus is, and we discover that HE is the way, the truth and the life, things CHANGE! We hope this Easter, you’ll be changed for the better.
