The new year is still pretty fresh. January is always a great time for a new start, even if we’re already on week 3 (*gasp!*) So, what are we going to do about it?
If you’re like a lot of us here at NGEN, you might be wanting, hoping and wishing that this year you will change for the better. A lot of us want to eat better, work out more, manage our money better, figure out a better career or education, or make our relationships with family and friends better. (I think we covered every category – what do you think?) Haha!
The question is do you have written goals for what you want to accomplish in 2018?
Maybe you DO! If you already sat down and wrote SMART Goals with action items and even went all out on a vision board, wow! That’s impressive!
But many of us are still thinking about our goals, wanting stuff to happen, but not sure where to start.
Your NGEN fam wants you to be successful and hit ALL those goals (even if you haven’t written them down yet!)
So here are some EASY tips from entrepreneur Nicole Walters to set 2018 Goals in 5 minutes!
Step 1: Write down 3 goals in each of these categories:
- Faith
- Family
- Finances
- Marriage
- Business
- Health
*If you’re not married, you can change or edit the categories to fit your life!
Step 2: Write this at the bottom of the page:
- “What needs to be true today, to make the above true tomorrow?”
Step 3: Make 3 copies of the goals.
Step 4: Put them where you’ll see them EVERY DAY.
- (For example: your bathroom mirror, fridge and locker or desk at work).
Step 5: Put a reminder on your phone every 90 days (Mar 30, Jun 30, Sept 30, Dec 30)
- Every 90 days, check your progress and make any changes needed.
This is SO good, you guys! NGEN fam, we got this! It’s not too late to sit down at some point this week and do this little Goal-setting exercise. Make it a point to do it before the month is over.
And I would add at the beginning on Step 1 to pray. Ask God to guide you this year, to set the goals He knows are the best for you. And go have an AMAZING year!
