We came across a very bold Facebook post today and we thought it was a powerful topic. There are a lot of Christian rappers who consider their gift a calling from the Lord, so they attempt to do ministry full time hoping God will somehow provide. Many of the artists who do this you later find online complaining about not having money, bills not being paid and even being evicted from their homes. Terrance "Gifted" Veal is an artist that was raised in New Orleans but moved to Houston after Hurricane Katrina. Gifted is a very hardworking artists who in his time as a Christian rapper has held down a full time job, taken care of his family, and has managed to earn his bachelor's degree in business and master's degree in education. Check out what he had to say to these artists out here living on a prayer! Tell us what you think. Leave your comments below!
"It's too much immaturity in the body of Christ. If your cds aren't selling,if ppl aren't buying your beats or paying for your video/photo shoots,if ppl aren't buying your product or booking you for speaking engagements & your a grown up,then YOU NEED A JOB!!!!
I see constant ppl complaining that their families in trouble, car is about to get repossessed etc & their out here trying to sell CD's.
What makes you to good to flip a burger, deliver a package, drive a forklift, answer a phone, weld some metal or dig a ditch? Who told you God owed you something? Stop crying 😭 log off of WorldStar,IG,YouTube & SC & log on to Monster jobs, indeed or drive to the store & get you a green sheet.
Play your part as A MAN & be faithful over the little. If it's God will he'll allow your gifts to become capital in your life. If it's not his will well work that job with honor & integrity & minister part time.
I know we all think we are super duper needed in the kingdom & souls won't get saved if your at WORK. But trust me bro, you nor I are that important, his will shall be done.
Play your part baby boy. Stop letting your family suffer behind your selfish ambitions."
