Most of us fall into a slump at work. We start doing the bare minimum. Slipping into our schedule, sliding on through to the weekend. It can be all too easy to stop trying. Why bother?
Enter the hero of our story, Benjamin Houston, a 23-year-old pizza delivery guy at a Domino's in Flint, MI. In the middle of a late night delivery to a woman named Ashley Schafer, his car broke down. Rather than calling it quits, he set out on foot with the pizza.
When Benjamin finally arrived and explained his situation, Ashley was in awe of his determination. She said he "restored her faith in humanity." She started a GoFundMe page to raise money for his car repairs and other expenses.
It's incredible, the kind of difference we can make simply by trying.
