Doritos was sent into a media frenzy after PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi was quoted as saying, "They [Women] don't like to crunch too loudly in public. And they don't lick their fingers generously and they don't like to pour the little broken pieces and the flavor into their mouth," as pertains to eating chips.
Many felt Doritos was on the verge of launching a line of chips specifically for women, chips that are less crunchy and designed for purses.
However, after all the backlash, Doritos shared a statement dismissing the idea: "We already have Doritos for women — they're called Doritos."
Riiiiiiiiight, Doritos. Meanwhile, somewhere in the world, millions of bags of so-called "Lady Chips" are being incinerated.
