Kermit is not just a green frog.
He's a legend.
The most celebrated muppet of all time and now an insanely popular meme, Kermit is pretty much the G.O.A.T.
So when it was announced that the man behind Kermit, Steve Whitmire, was stepping down after 27 years, I was a little worried (understandably, right?)
Who could replace such an iconic character? Is there anyone qualified enough to replace this pillar of my childhood?
Matt Vogel is the new Kermit. He sounds like a reasonable replacement. He's a veteran of the show. He's been filling in for other characters left and right over the years. He sounds qualified.
Just don't mess this up, Matt. You've got big green shoes to fill.
